Type Mostly Indica
Origin Blue Grass Seeds
Breeder El Peru
Descriptions  El Peru Updated: 2003-01-03
Strain Composition: Black Domina x Blue Bubblejuice

This hybrid out cross brings into play thick, potent, resinous Black Domina as the mother plant for the strain. Manicuring this one's round rubbery leaves proceeded in a halting fashion to allow for frequent washing the goo off of fingers. Copious resin production is the hallmark of this devastatingly potent strain, here mated with our homebred representative selected for strength and aroma. Blue Bubblejuice is 50% Blueberry, 25% Juicy Fruit, and 25% Bubblegum, so then is a 3/4 sibling to famous Bubbleberry. From limited Production, this male emerged as the patriarch of his generation in our breeding chamber, an easy selection due to his overwhelming heavy aroma. Smoke from BBBJ proved to be soft and relaxing, with noticeable soothing medicinal qualities retained from the more sativa components of the pedigree. Flavor enhancement from Blueberry is still apparent, with improved growth characteristics and increased yield, again from the sativa components. Seeds were big and bold, some of the best seen recently in our projects. The Premium being developed in the rainforest were the best seeds coming out of this grow, near perfect.

Is from BGS,grew in soil with no additional fert.At around 6wks i turned to flower and gave a pruneing of most of the lower branches.I started feeding at week 3,then at week4-5,i gave another pruneing of branches with not so good potential.I started to flush at week 6-7 with plain water with the odd bit of rain water.Harvested at 8 1/2 weeks. This strain is a very tacky one.Stinks of a cross between sweet and sour.Have not tested yet,but if it smokes like it looks,im in for a nice ride.To anyone thinking of BM,go ahead and make your own day.

Grown in a soilless medium of: 40% Pro Mix 30% Worm Casting 20% vermiculite 10% perlite

Plus a bit of bone meal and blood meal well mixed together and soaked with PH 6.2 water and let set to drain while germination process, and early veg is taking place.

Seeds were placed in a shot glass and soaked in PH 6.0 water. Shot glass was then placed in a dark warm spot and allowed to set for 24hrs before initial check for cracking and sprouting. All seeds cracked by 30hrs. Seeds were then set into 16oz styro cups that were filled with standard sprouting mix, and placed under twin 100w fluoros for about 4wks, or until seedlings reached approx 6"-8". Feeding during the germination process was done on a "as needed" basis and only a small amount of fish emulsion and 1dr per gal Super Thrive was used until after the 2nd week, then babes were started on a mild dose of General Hydro nutes at about 1/4 strength, that went to 1/2 strength by week 4. Feedings were done on a feed, feed, flush....feed, flush, flush schedule throughout the entire grow, except for the last 2wks which were straight flush. At about 4 weeks or 6"-8", 12-5gal bucket were filled with the previously described mix and juveniles were transplanted into the buckets and placed into the big room for Veg.

Big room consists of a Sunlight Supply 1000w switchable with a Super Sun Hood set on pulleys for lowering and raising, inside a 4'X 4'6" X 8'room. During the Veg cycle I use a Sunmaster Neutral Deluxe MH bulb, and for the Flowering cycle I go with a Hortilux Eye HPS. Room also runs a full heating and exhaust system set up on thermostats with a variable temp of 65-78, and has a CO2 generator set up on a timer. Twin turbo fans are mounted high on 2 walls at 90 degree angles from each other for proper heating and cooling distribution, and to keep the plants moving, and to beef up the stemage, and limbage.

Plants were vegged up to approx 16"-18" during this grow, left un-topped and then sexed, and finished. Total Veg cycle went approx 1mo.....and the Flower cycle went 63-65 days. Plants finished at approx 48". Both plants were a "Bush" phenotype with colas ranging from 5" to 12".

Yield results were: plant #1 - 4 1/4oz plant #2 - 4 1/8oz

As far as the medicinal effects of Black Mamba go, I love her. She's a dayender type, heavy narcotic, couch locker, most likely taken from the Black Domina genetics. She is very soothing and leaves you extremely euphoric and calm.........great for that nasty anxiety attack. And if you're looking for pain relief, this strain has it too. Although she hits rather hard, there is enough sativa in her to keep your mind active and clear, so you won't experience the total shutdown effect of a heavier indica strain. As for the taste............Blueberry all the way. A sweet burning, berry tasting babe, sure to please the medical, or social smoker. Given her taste and aroma, yield, and potency..........you won't be disappointed!

I've had some usual and interesting traits emerge out of this strain; one female had intense indigo blue (not red or purple) stems with blue flowers- sadly she died on me. :(

The plant has a few issues with autoflowering, so cloning has proven difficult BUT the clones eventually do take off and root. Apart from that, the plants seem to be fairly hardy and easy to keep healthy, even in intense sog/bonsai conditions. It's a very beautiful plant as well, with glossy (!!) dark blue-green leaves; so lovely in fact that I've kept an outstanding male simply as a houseplant. :)

The buds have an ususual and VERY strong odor; pungent fruity-sour on one, with the other smelling strongly of Jet A jet fuel. Lots of resin, this thing's a major snocone maker...puts a lot of resin on, VERY quickly.

Early smoke tests are rather impressive. This is *not* a wake and bake weed, way too narcotic and couchy. I'd say it's good to great for pain relief as well- so if anyone has arthritis, give this a try.
