The Jamaican Marley's Collie did a'stonish' everybody on the Dutch Highlife cup of 1999 and was certainly one of the reasons for winning the big super cup this year. The Sativa sweetness and characteristic high of the plant was greatly appreciated by the judges. The same mother was used to realize this sweet outdoor hybrid between the jamaican and our best Early Pearl. Early sweet and mold resistance are some of the remarkable qualities of this new outdoor-hybrid.

Grew outdoors organic. Early pearl jamaican sativa cross. height approx 6 ft, untopped. Biggish yield (2.5-oz) fast finisher (6-7weeks) Citrussy lemony flavour. Strong!!!!!! This plant is VERY strong. Comes on really hard and fast and can be overwhelming and terror inducing if not experienced. I have never really experinenced smokers paranoia but this one has broought it on a couple of times. POWERFUL UP sativa high, very trippy and visual (very much like haze) but does not take you up and up and up. Find your limit because one minute your in orbit (like beginning of LSD trip-emerging geometries etc.) but just one more toke and it will either knock you clean out or put you on a serious whitey. All in all if your after an easy growing, fast hardy Haze like plant, and love your sativas FULL ON then I would whole heartedly recommend JP. however this plant is just a bit TOO much for me. I prefer my sativas a little more mellow and clear. Jp is well bred and durable (I Imagine JP would grow well in a SCROG indoors) and certainly VERY potent. The Excellent quality of Sensi's strains is definately expressed in this plant but I would recommend this to experienced smokers only.

Even though Jamaican Pearl is considered an outdoor plant, I decided to grow some indoors in a micro-system for purposes of extending and preserving my seed stock. The micro-system occupies about 2 square feet and is about 4 feet tall. It contains a 175W metal halide mounted horizontally at the top and four 21 inch flourescent tubes mounted vertically on the sides. A surplus computer fan blows air out into a dryer duct and a light baffle. A General Hydroponics Rainforest 36 with GH nutrients supported the plants from seed to bud. Out of six seeds planted, 5 germinated, 2 were female. Plants were grown vegetative to six weeks, when the tallest plant was about 1 foot tall. Plants at that stage were incredibly dense and bushy with HUGE sun leaves and a reek like a family of skunks were nesting in my closet. As flowering began, the odor mostly subsided, replaced by a wonderful sweet aroma. The two females showed two different phenotypes. One was compact with a large central cola. The other exhibited a lot of internode lengthening for two weeks after the light cycle was changed to 12/12. That plant was barely manageable in the space and had to be trained all around the inside of the micro-system. It ended up pretty much filling all available space - with FAT, miraculous, sweet buds. Buds started coming to harvest 52 days after light cycle change with a major yield of really yummy-looking buds. Lower buds were left on the plant for a second harvest around 73 days. Total from both harvests was just shy of a quarter pound. Nice! I can see how the "Pearl" series of plants get their name... even when many of the pistils have changed color to a light brown, the profusion of resin and the intense white color of the newer pistil growth give the buds a definite pearly quality. The smoke is sweet and potent. As someone else commented, the buzz is a bit like Haze, very upbeat, bordering on totally psychedelic. Kicks major ass in a vaporizer! Wooohoooooo!!!! These plants did pretty nicely in the micro-system, would also do well in a ScrOG set-up, particularly the larger phenotype. Can't wait to see what they do outdoors!
