Mexican Sativa is one of the world's oldest and most known strains. A 100% Sativa plant that has been used by breeders in Holland to produce some of the top known strains of these days (Skunk, Haze, Sensi's Mexican Sativa, and many others).

A 'true breeding' plant due to its traits: very hardy and steady. Some famous names include Acapulco Gold, Oaxacan Lime Green, and Michoacan Red Hair.

Its smell is mostly like what people call a 'skunky' smell, but somewhat more sweet and fruity. Being a Sativa it grows quite tall and somewhat thin. Finishing time can take quite a while, even 15-20 weeks outdoors. This plant grows better outdoors.

It's high is totally mental. Clear thinking and extremely energetic. I would consider it a laughing weed, puts you in a good mood without knocking you out. A very speedy and anxious high. Phenotypes vary throughout the coutry's different climates and geographic variations.

Now a days many of the mexican marijuana has been hybridized, thus making it quite hard to find the original attributes of the great Mexican Sativa that people used to so much praise in the 70's and 80's. But its still there and its still possible to acquire some fine, pure Sativa phenotypes. This would be mainly by acquiring inside Mexico, since export mexican marijuana is usually of low to bad quality.
