Early Girl (female TAC) x White Widow (Aloha male) Early Girl: This is a mostly Indica variety, one of the earliest in our collection. Very potent, medium yield, with a hashy taste and aroma. These compact plants will tend to grow to one main stem. An ideal choice for your balcony! This plant turned out much better than the Early Girl mother, which had very little flavor, a pain to clone with a rating in potency of 5. But the plant looked great nice long floral clusters. The NC3 was very easy to root. NCGA NC3: 3rd week September, 8 to 12 oz per plant outside; 3 to 4 oz indoors.

Height: Doesn't get very tall +- 24" w/5 wks veg., large crystally buds, with a sweet spicey taste. My best plant was 2 and a half feet tall, but the main cola weighed an amazing 31 grams dried and had very few leaves. Flowering: NC#3 takes so long to mature, This is not such a bad thing, because it continues to grow BIG buds. I also noticed some of the lower buds are already 40-50% ripe while the large main colas havenot started (obviously the Early Girl is showing her influence). It takes forever to fully mature(70 to 80 days). But the buds continue to grow the entire period, flower on top of flower. I think you will be very pleased with the NC#3 cross, if you can stand the wait. I've heard 70-80days, but my friend who has been growing for a bit said last time he was done it took exactly 60 days...does the 70-80 apply when growing from seed? Finishing: mid-September. Height: 1.5-2 m. Yield: up to 250 gr.

really don't know why it takes so long in the 12/12, mine when 68 days, 2 of the plants had 80-85 grams per plant. big colas, everything about this strain I liked, sweet incense smell. Yield: I let the NC3 go 68 days of 12/12 had some plants few grams short of 3oz of dry bud. Most around 2 1/2oz. The WW I hear is the reason for long flowering. Buds: You have to love the flower to leaf ratio of the nc#3, just throw them clippers away! It produces very large buds, which need little trimming or none. Buds are swollen and crystallized High: NC3 is very nice smoke with spicy taste and fairly potent. Stoney and spicey, fat buds. Nice smelling, good tasting smoke. On a 1 to 10, I would give the high a solid 7. The NC3, is a real stoney high, some of my friends look like there in a coma, the NC#3 was my 1st time with the NCGA strains, very sweet taste. It is easy to clone. Anyone have info on NC#3 (Early Girl x White Widow) -a friend giving me a few clones next week and I wanted to know about flowering time on this strain, I've heard 70-80days, but my friend who has been growing for a bit said last time he was done it took exactly 60 days...does the 70-80 apply when growing from seed? Anyway, any info on this strain would be appreciated.

It's the ruderalis (flowers automatically, 3 1/2 months from start to finish) flowering that is being used in the WW. Neville mastered that over 10 years ago. He did not see it being beneficial to other than commerical growers. Although they flower automatically under continuous light, they do not mature any faster. In fact Neville said that it has a 10 week flowering period! So he did not see any real advantage quality wise for incorporating it into his better lines. That is why I distrust commercial Dutch genetics. Most of them have that rfc in them and I would just as soon do without it.

Regarding California Orange, Early Girl, Afghani #1, Skunk #1 and Haze, Ed Rosenthal says he knows they were all developed by Cultivators' Choice in California in the 70's. Ed says Big Bud came from Portland, Oregon. He says Early Pearl came from the midwest, but was a cross of Early Girl and Polly, and early California sativa. Mel Frank says that he knows the breeder in California that developed Durban Poison, and that it came from 2 females out of 16 grown from 1 variety out of six that came from South Africa. Only those two plants were worth a damn. What he doesn't say is that there must have been some other plants in the mix; a male, eh? He notes that genetics among growers in SA were already all jumbled up from the sources they had to draw on, so the claims that Durban is a pure sativa have to be taken with a grain of salt.

Back around '87 or so I got some Early Girl from Neville. It wan't very stable. I got a lot of variation from one seed to the other. The ones I took outside did pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I harvested them about the end of sept. Unless the strain has changed a whole lot, I wouldn't bother with them for indoors. Any good indoor strain show kick Early Girl's ass severely indoors, and I've seen a lot better outdoor strains too. But it's not bad for outdoors, just not great.

Seeking strain with "hashy" taste, little smell. -Try with Sensi Early Girl. A friend is growing it, and it's no advertising bullshit, it stinks like good hash. Just like the Afghan Pure from T.H.Seeds another has grown for years without smell problems (the most stinkless strain she ever grown), one good female out of six, very resiny AND with easily-droppable glands.

I grew a Skunk#1 x Holland's Hope cross in only moderate humidity for the atlantic coast and had LOTS of problems with mold. It was nice and early, but so is Early Girl and I have heard much better reports on the quality of the bud with Early Girl than with hh.
