The Original Haze - Pure breeding stabilized hybrid.

We have worked with this variety for almost 20 years now. It is the base for all the Haze you can find here in holland.Since being stabilized in the late 70's The pure Haze has never been hybridised.

Perfect for breeding projects due to it's pure breeding status. For commercial growers this strain is not recommended due to it's size and long maturation time. Very potent with an energetic cerebral high.

Special breeding stock. The only original haze available

I grew the O. Haze indoors for breeding purposes also and was quite successful. Take a look at the countries of origin to understand its genetics and treatment. This Haze should be grown under a long veg period of 13/11 and then switched to a 11/13 for flowering. If you're like me, you don't have the time or inclination so you do what you have to do.

I grew Haze with the rest of my hybrids under a typical 20/4 veg and 12/12 flowering photoperiod, but it took much longer nights to show sex and kick them into a strong flowering response, and that was after about 3 weeks of veg. Once they were flowering well, they got 12/12 like everyone else. One early flowering male sexed early, and finished early. Saved one female to taste. Under a 12/12 from the get-go, I would think it will take a longgggg time for them show a strong flowering response.

Get ready for very long internodes in which you must scrog, grow prostrate horizontally or at a 45 degree angle, or top numerous times. It is a real PITA indoors. It is strictly an outdoors plant, but there are work-arounds.

'll second that... It can be a really challenging plant to grow indoors. I veged for 2 weeks under 18/6 and then straight to 11/13. It then took 7 - 8 weeks before they showed sex. They then proceed to flower as normal.

During the first 7 - 8 weeks, I had to top them several times, tie them down in various positions, and eventually turn the whole plant over on it's side.. A very stubborn, tall plant.

That being said, it has passed along some great traits to a couple of my projects, very good genetics for breeding IMO. Especially now in the f2 generation, there is just about every possible combination of genes, and there are definately some great ones.

The smoke was excellent potent up high.

IMO, there should be no problems starting them under 12/12 IMO, they definately will be tall enough when they finally start to flower. And most of the strains that made up the haze originated in the equatorial zone, where it's pretty much 12/12 all the time.

Ben, I'll have to try a more aggressive dark period to trigger them into flower. Good idea, I just assumed it wasn't a very photoperiod sensitive plant. I've got a neville's at about 5 weeks of 12/12, nodes are finally alternating, although still no preflowers. Running out of space hehe..

DrBoon, that a nice looking christmas tree you have. All it needs is some lights and decorations, and maybe a little tinsel hehe

Much better looking than my plants, I had to top several times, tie down several times, and eventually turn the plant over on it's side as at the time I was dealing with greatly limited vertical clearence... Sure is good smoke though, and definately a special high.

I have crossed it with several shorter varieties, and with one have managed to keep alot of the haze traits in a 10 week strain. IMO the haze is excellent breeding material, but is so difficult and time consuming to grow I have trouble keeping up. :)

Will definately grow it again though now that I have more room to work with.
