Bogglegum is a beauty. Very well suited for indoor - short, many branches, and fairly low odor. Vegetative growth is very hearty, and flowering is fairly short at about 50-60 days. Buds are quite sizable, but not especially dense. However, the girls make up for it in trichome production.

Trichome production is excessive. I've had plants, from seed, producing trichomes before they had shown signs of sex! And once you flip them over to 12/12, they just explode in sparkles. It's really quite impressive.

Yield is a bit low for a pure indica, due to the low density of the buds. However, this is counteracted by its potency... A pretty good balance between a heady-high, and a body-high, but beware - it's definitely a creeper high... 30 minutes plus to completely hit you. Definitely not a functional high... It shakes up your brain like a snow globe.

Overall, it's an excellent strain, and certainly worth the price. If you're a fan of a good indica, or just want some sexy buds to show off to your friends, give it a whirl... You won't be disappointed.

One thing - MAKE SURE TO SUPPLIMENT MAGNESIUM!! My bogglegums seem to suck up far more magnesium than any of my other plants. I usually gave them twice as much epson salt as my other plants, about 1/2 tsp per week per plant, mixed in 1 gallon of water. Others received 1/4 tsp, or less.

Grown outdoor at 40°N, all organic. She is my favorite plant I have grown thus far.
Does best in full morning sun.
Grows like a beast, the internodes are perfectly spaced every 3-4 inches.
Plants tended to show their sex a lot later than Skunk and Afghani, thus flowering started later. The more sativa pheno needs to go until late October to finish, but the grape tasting one was done nicely by mid October.

The high:
First time I smoked it, I had this numb tingle rush across my face. It started at my cheeks and went right on to the back of my head... Amazing experience I have only had a few times.
Sometimes it was cough lock, sometimes it was a real goofy high that lead to lots of drum playing and word games.

The plants were quite variable in nature. Grown in NFT hydro under 600W, they were vigourous growers and yielded well.

Two distinct parents showed their characteristics in the seed plants, the Bubblegum and the NL#5.

Out of 10 seeds germinated and grown, 5 were male and 5 female, and of the females, 1 was a dwarf.

All males were culled, of which 1 male was a dwarf too.

1 female plant was around mainly NL#5
2 females were mainly Bubblegum
1 female was a 50/50 hybrid of the two parents
and the last female was an NL#5-dominant dwarf

I identified the NL#5 by its pine smell and bud structure, and the Bubblegum by its bubblegum smell, and taller nature.

What was strange was that BOG thought the piney, low odour plant, structurally compact plant that I save as a mother, was "a Bubblegum pheno".

The Bubblegum plants to me were more resinous, 2 extremely so, stretched more in flower, and 2 finished extremely fast (one of the highly resinous, and an averagely resinous NL#5 dwarf).

Yield:

1 Bubblegum-dominant plant finished in 52 days with an above-average yield.

1 Bubblegum-dominant plant finished in 46 days with an average yield.

The NL#5 dominant finished in 56 days with an above-average yield.

The dwarf had a low yield due to its small size.

The high is not mindblowing, but is fun and good for a laugh (has had me in stitches).

The taste and smell is bubblegum/pine.

I love Bogglegum. My favorite.

This strain is an easy grower, starts off fast in veg; branches out nicely. I feed them 10 days after popping out of the soil, it's all down hill from there. Never gave me ANY troubles. Vegged under a 400w MH till there 18 inches, then "topped". 5 weeks Veg.

Flowering... Under a 1kW and 400w HPS Bogglegum takes off producing nice "long colas", pretty fat too. I've been growing for around 2 years and Bogglegum always gives me big buds. Trics are heavy on the buds, and the smell is always sweet. A good strain if you're looking for stealth. I usually harvest around 50-55 days and get 3-4 oz's per plant.

After a good cure Bogglegum will impress ALL your friends; you only need a couple hits to feel "the rush". It sneeks up on ya so take caution not to abuse, or it will abuse you. It's a very smooth smoke with great potency, you know you're smoking something "exclusive".

This is BOG's baby, his 1st strain released. Overall, this is the best joint weed I've ever had.

100% germination from seed, ~50% female. They stayed quite short and bushy during veg and grew nice big fat stems. None of the Bogglegums needed staking. It is a fairly easy to clone plant.

There was very little stretch during flower, they stayed nice and compact. Trichome production is outstanding, very sticky fingers are unavoidable after handling the buds a little. The smell is quite manageable, its not completely stealth but then what strains are?

We flowered the Bogglegum for 63 days and found the smoke to be quite powerful and potent. A couple of good rips and you get a good smack in the face followed by a strong buzz. A good party weed, up and sociable, just as long as you don't sit down... If you sit down you may not move for another 3 hours. Big head rushes were fairly common with Bogglegum, I've nearly blacked out a couple of times while standing half way through talking to a mate. Great stuff.

There are two phenos in this variety. One is a bit harsh tasting and the other has the highly desirable grape taste. Both had about the same stone (not very strong at all) but the taste was worth it as it is very yummy. Tons of crystal on this plant with a decent yield but my only gripe is the potency was mediocre compared to other strains I have grown.

Bogglegum is very easy to grow. I only tried germinating one seed, which ended up becoming an absolute monster of a plant, displaying vigorous growth from day one. Despite numerous mistakes growing with aeroponic hyrdroponics for the first time, this Bogglegum plant never ceased to impress me. I realize that 85 days of flowering is a very long time, but I made a couple mistakes that caused this to happen. First of all, I had some problems with nute burn, forcing me to flush the entire hydro system, shocking the plants and delaying everything. Second, at day 50, I stopped giving them nutes, a premature decision, causing even more delay in flowering. Third reason, was the gigantic size of some of my colas, which took forever to properly ripen evenly. My guesstimate is that these 3 factors caused a 7 day delay each, adding up to 21 days. I harvested by closely monitoring the trichomes. My personal preference is slightly more cloudy than clear, with a few amber ones thrown in for good measure. Good bud is analogous to strong coffee. In the morning, I like my coffee strong and flavorful, cause I like to taste it when I drink it. It's no different with my bud. Towards the end of harvest time, a bunch of my colas turned purple, which yielded the best and most incredible grape bubblegum taste of the entire harvest. The first thing that strikes you when vaporizing some is how smooth it is. Some buds taste like Bazooka Joe bubblegum, and some of the buds have a grape Kool-Aid flavor. Even when it grows, Bogglegum doesn't smell like regular weed. It's low odor, and doesn't really stink until it's ready for the chop. When harvested, and starting to dry, it smells like wet straw, or hay. Only when it's completely dry and cured does it start to smell, and even then it's way different. When I open a glass jar of curing Bogglegum, it smells spicey, like nutmeg. No doubt about it, Bogglegum is more potent and more tastey, after a good cure in a glass jar. Its bubblegum/spicey taste really grows on you.

Potency wise, I would give it a rock solid 8.5 - 9. This stuff can really kick your ass if you vape too much. It has absolutely ruined and/or crippled a few of my hard core veteran toking buddies, to the point where they almost passed out from one too many hits. Moreover, I must admit it has had the same effect on myself a few times. The high is pillowy, creamy and thick, with lots of bottom. I love how the taste stays in your mouth hours after having some, especially after drinking something with sugar in it. Very yummy!!!

You defintiely know that you're smoking an indica dominant phenotype here. Even when exhaling a big vapor hit, the vapor plume seems to have a darker blueish hue to it when it's Bogglegum.
My only knock against it, is that the buds are not very tight or dense like some other strains. It's alarming how much weight you lose when your Bogglegum dries. What were big fat colas wet, will lose more than 80% of their original weight after drying. The only buds from my harvest that were exceptionally tight and dense were the ones from the monstruous main cola it produced. Because of this, it takes more volume in Bogglegum buds to yield the same weight. Having said all that, my lone Bogglegum did yield over 275 grams, dried and manicured. Not too shabby!!! If you're an indica lover, you'll be moonstruck with Bogglegum.

This was a fun grow. We planted all 12 seeds right away when they dropped in the mailbox, all germinated/sprouted in 4-5 days, there was 5 males in 12 seeds so we were left with 7 nice females to play with...
The plants were grown in soil/Leca-clay mix and were fed with GH nutes, which did the job well but since then I've used Biobizz organic nutes with way better results, didn't`t have better nutes at the time.

There was two odd plants in 7 females, one runt and one self topping girl but the oddities didn't matter, they both performed very well after all, the runt especially, it made a nice Coke-can cola and yielded about 60 grams despite it`s shortness. We had one 600 w hps for veg and for flower we had one 600 w hps closer to the plants and one overhead 600 w hps because the room was very small and the second 600 water tried to cause some heat issues when close to plants so we decided to raise it to the roof, we didn't have the best ventilation at the time

These girls are very easy to grow. There was two phenotypes, one sativaish lanky girl and the rest were fat indica girls. We decided to clone them both for a nice variation of the same plant. This was a bit of a ghetto grow, the grow room was a electric sauna @ my friends house and our main idea behind this was just to get good clones for the next grow which is going on at the time.

The plants were cut @ 56 days flowering, we didn't give them the 48 hours dark period - these girls were frosty enough and we had to move forward to the new garden. The cured product has a great bag appeal, these smell is something you can deal with, very far from the usual cannabis smell, a fresh, fruity taste and smell, not a skunky stink. Yield was more than enough for three daily smokers to smoke and expect bigger yields with pruned clones, these plants were not pruned or touched at all, just a few lower branches were removed in early flowering.

So, this was my first try with BOG genetics and I'm more than happy with the results...Bogglegum is good for rookies but I must say it really isn't just for rookies. Very easy to grow with great results.

I sprouted 3 seeds 1 male 1 female and 1 eaten by my cat. So I vegged the female into a mother took some clones and started on my first grow of Bogglegum. The plants grew very uniform and they bushed out a lot. I topped them when they were a few inches tall.

They more than doubled there height in flowering, but overall not bad at all. They started to produce signs of crystal very fast just a couple of weeks. At week 5 I hit them with a PK boost for one week and they fattened up nice and good.

Now as for the smoke the Bogglegum is good not great. smokes smooth and gives a good high. taste is sweet.

This was a very nice strain to grow, very hardy grower forgiving, fairly low/pleasant odor, good yielding, relatively short with profuse side branching if topped, fairly fast finishing and GREAT smelling. I started out from seed (thanks SD and BOG) and have been growing now for three generations...this grow report will be an amalgamation of sorts.

I use a weak solution of 1 tsp Liquid Karma and 2-3 drops of Superthrive during seedling/rooting stage and they LOVE it...pretty aggressive growth once they root, i grow in a soiless mix Promix BX, Perelite, 1.5 tbsp/gallon pulverized Dolemetic Lime, grow rocks on bottom layer.

...in the clone/veg chamber,(2x3x3 foot area at the far end of rarely un-used closet) while previous generation is finishing in the flower chamber. i start off the clones in rockwool cubes, they stay in the humidity dome/tray until roots show, for generally about 5-7 days after cut then i move them into 5" square pots where they stay with their sisters under a 125W CFL 6500K Blue spectrum. i top them around 4-5th node and then top again once later to get nice full and squat bushes...once they fill out a bit i transplant the ladies into 1 gallon pots and i'm always amazed with the root development...a testiment to superior genetics and IMHO the good stuff in Superthrive and esp Liquid Karma...i use this clone mix until they move the gallon pots and then i add 1/4 tsp GH FloraNova Grow to the mix moving the strength up from the intial 1/4 to 1/2 tsp until they get to about 10-12" tall then they go into the flower chamber...

Welcome to the flower chamber, a 3x5x10 foot side closet...in here i have a 400W Kool-Tube set-up using Sylvania's GROLUX Enhanced Spectrum HPS bulb, a 265CFM Fantech Blower >>> to a Can Carbon-Filter. a small turbo-style oscillating fan mixes everything up nicely and blows across the tops...temps stay generally in the 72-80F range with lights on, humidity gets low in the winter 30-60%...a good solid flowering environment for the ladies, good ventilation and pruning being key. i put the plants into 5 gallon pots for flower...for me this is the best mix i've found under the 400W and grow environment i have, 4 big well topped and pruned bushes in 5 gallon containers, the plants really love the room the stretch out, i've tried more/smaller plant set-ups, but with Bogglegum's fantastic root structure and fairly low-profile i've found the extra week to 10 days in veg under the 400W to get big bushes is worth it...i trim-train-prune and generally persuade my ladies into a nice even canopy around 2.5 x 3.5 feet.

...the nute mix jumps up from the 1/2 tsp FN Grow to 1.5 tsp and 1 tsp LK to 2 tsp by the time i flip the lights and the ladies explode in the new 5 gallon containers under the new 400W HPS and jump from 12-14" to 20-22" in 7-10 days (no kidding).

Flowering is def where this strain earns its keep, literally exploding into a bouquet of awesome colors and smell...the grape bubblegum pheno i have really looks/smells great and really starts to pack on the weight fast and early it makes the LSD i have and grow with look pretty puny early on...then it hits kind of a plateau and fills in more slowly for a couple weeks, then the last two weeks it starts packing it on again nearly doubling in the last 14-18 days. The stretch in flower in really negligible maybe 20-25%...thats it.

i generally let this pheno go to about 55-56 days, i had cut them @ 49-50 but the extra time is DEF worth it for potency and yield. trichs @ chop are about an 10% clear/80% cloudy/10% amber mix under my trusty 100X illuminated mini-micro-scope from radioshack ($10!).

THE HIGH...is def a nice uppy daytime high, nothing too intense but also not mediocre either...two good tightly packed pulls on my trusty glass bong is usually good for me. the high starts off pretty-electric-heady and then becomes a nice relaxed buzz after 45 mins to an hour. My girlfriend LOVES this high it makes her and her friends giggle and laugh, a nice social high to go out with or stay home and listen to tunes...or make them, watch a good movie or conversate.

THE TASTE/SMELL...with a 4 week cure the smell is of faint grape bubblegum, not piny at all...the taste is about the same, very earthy grape bubblegum...fantastic!

Well ... the first thing I noticed when I started this grow was the amazing side branch production. Very vigorus and nicely spread. The internodes of the plant were the shortest I have ever seen and there were tons of them. I vegged for 5 weeks and then hit 12/12. The plant took a lot of Mg during veg and aslo in bloom too. The leaves stayed nice and green, very short in length and overall very pretty. There were times I couldn't water right on time, due to stealth and or lighting / work schedules, but it never seemed too dry even if it went a day too long. This plant seemed like it could handle just about anything really.

When I transplanted, first at 2 weeks, the root structure was filling the bottom of the container. Very fast root development and very healthy too. It never showed signs of root binding at all. Perhaps I caught it in time, perhaps it still had room to grow a bit more.

I went 55 days on harvest and the last few days made it all worth it. I cut when the trikes were cloudy / amber (more cloudy). That left me with a high that is very heady, some body, but mostly head. It's a lasting high and it creeps up on ya. Kinda grabs you after 20 mins or so and you just stare out into space and your not sure how long you have been doing this. :) It's great as far as being an "up" type high too, doesn't slow me down like some MJ does.

Bag appeal is right up there, looks nice, smells nice, and it's SO sticky. You leave it in a bag in your pocket for more than a few minutes, you will need to peel the weed off the bag. The buds cover in trikes and most of the surrounding leaves too. When I cut, the buds were nice and full, thick and ooy gooy. As they cured / dried, the buds were not as thick and the hairs turned from a golden color to a light redish color.

I think I could have done this better, and I will try again trust me. I found the plant overall to be very easy to grow, it took abuse alright (not that I gave it much), and it's the best bud I have ever growen personaly.

My hat is off to you BOG .... very nice genetics!
Also grew out some of his Grape Punch too, report to follow.
