Germination: The Bubblegum was the fastest germinating strain I ever had, taproot already came out of the seed during the 10hr warm-up phase in warm water.
germ 7/7, one was a bit stunted.
Vegetative: Growth was as expected. the crippled one stayed small, but started to take off after 2 weeks, too late to catch up though, got ripped out.
Growth was not very uniform, I had 2 faster ones, 2 were smaller, and the rest somewhere in between, one didn't develop right due to lack of light.
Leaves were rather small, apparently an Indica/sativa mix.
The tallest ones were males, 2 got ripped before sexing, and I was left with 2 females/5 plants.
No nutrient burn at any point. Branching was good, yet not really what you want in a SCROG, a bit weak.
Flower:
Stretch as expected for this Indica/sativa, from 12" to ~4'.
Flowering kicked in after about 7-10 days (flower clusters growing).
The buds were incredibly dense, and not much trimming had to be done, since there were almost no leaves.
Almost no smell, I could almost say no smell at all. When I got really close, like my nose being in the bud, I was able to make out a sweet, very pleasant smell, like...candy. My first impression was, and I bet you didn't expect that, that it smells like the BG I had in the Dampkring in Amsterdam before.
Flushed for 7 Days, with only water and cannazym, some trace elements were also added.
Harvested at 59 Days. They might go to 63 days to be ripe, but I wanted something a bit less stony...
The BG was covered in resin even more than the K2 I grew along with it.
Smell is sweet like candy, and even though the plants don't smell much in flower, when dry I just have to open the bag to smell it everywhere. Nothing you can smoke in public ;)
Yield:
~60g (2oz) for 1 normal and one tiny plant.
Smoke report:
Potent...tasty...cerebral...that are some keywords for BG.
Smoke is very smooth and sweet, like the buds. It doesn't really make you active, it makes one think and enjoy food, socializing, music, TV....
High lasts for several hrs, and looses it's intensity only over time, sometimes leaves me tired.
During comedown it holds you on your seat...
Not very good daytime smoke unless you have nothing important to do, it's a party, social evening or lazy day smoke.
Overall Opinion:
Great strain! Tasty, Smelly, Very Potent, Nice High.
Not a big yielder though, still average, and very sticky.
