Outdoors this plant is great. Very tall and very full.The weather was absolutely wretchid this summer with a consistent 90% humidity rating.dutch passion, bagseed, skunk #1 and afghanis developed lethal fusarium stem infections which ate straight through the main stem and killed them all. The mango was resistant to this plague and it saved the harvest. Plants reach a height of about 12 feet if not pruned and if they are pruned they stay at about 8 feet but they get very bushy (up to 7 feet in circumference). Very nice smell, beautiful appearence, and an unbelievable taste. Expect about 500- 700 grams per plant if grown in the ground and you can get 1 oz in a 1 gallon pot. Oh yeah, I had 1 on the bank of a stream which flooded several time and left the main stem in 6 inches of water for two days at a time, guess what, it was never even phased. Very dependable and good to go if you need a plant you can count on.

I purchased my seeds from Nick at Dutch-Seeds and will start off by saying that I will definetly grow this strain again. All seeds germinated but due to space I selected the best 6 to keep. All plants looked the same with extreme lateral branch growth. After veging for 4 weeks they started showing sex. I had 2 females. The males were pulled and the females were put in 12/12. They stretched alot...almost tripled in height. The buds started formming right away. They never had any problems with ferts, pests or heat. A true joy to grow (and smoke).

I've grown 2 Mango's of Nirvana in 2003. It looks like Nirvana has changed the name from Mango to Papaya.
I had a germination rate of 80% and grew the plants under the sun.
So after the germination I had to hope that the sun reaches Germany and let my Mango's grow.
Firt they grew very nice and weren't very complicated.
But the time between vegative phase and flowering phase was very long, which I believe was due to the very hot summer in Germany.
But fortunately they got buds and they needed till 27th September, when they got harvested.
I harvested about 280g per plant, wet, but I don't know how much this was after drying.
After 2 weeks the first smoke:
Partly it was still wet, but only a bit so it was smokeable. It smelled like nothing special and really not the mango smell that I hoped to get.
But when you smoked it, the odor of the mango spreaded, and it smelled really fine.
The high was okay nothing special, but it made you high. Totally heady, and that's what I was looking for.
Yesterday I had a long way by train and I met an old schoolfriend in the train . It was a very funny talk and I had to laugh a lot. One of the best train travels I've ever had because of the many joints I smoked before going by train.
So if you are interested in growing something easy and have a pretty nice weed but not anything special, then you're right with this strain.
I'm sorry that I only have those 2 pictures in the vegative phase.

Lightning was only the sun, no articial lightning.
Grow medium was first soil from a growshop and then I planted them outdoors into a forest where must have been a feast for cows or something like that, cause the soil there was partly still very stinky.
Although it was uncomfortable for my nose the plants enjoyed it to stand in this soil.
Nevertheless I fertilized the plants with Canna Terra Vega and Flores and gave them B'Cuzz Roots Stimulator and B'Cuzz Flowering Stimulator.

This weed doesn't taste or smell like anything in our area which makes it quite unique!
Even when cured it still smells really sweet and gets you fucked up after about 4-5 hits (everybody so far...).
I tested it on some unsuspecting friends and they couldn't believe how powerful it was.
So...to make a long story short, 2 people got couchlock off of it and one was laughing and got the munchies.
I'm not a pro grower but for the price of the seeds you cannot go wrong.
One pheno was short and somewhat squat and finished earlier but was a sight to see. Indica dominant.
The other pheno was more Sativa and finished alot later but produced a huge bud.
I think I could of got much more weight out if these 2 plants had I owned a 400 hps
It was done with a couple fluoros and a used 400w Metal Halide.
I managed to get around 2 oz total cured off 2 plants.
i will add a 400w HPS next grow so it should be much more interesting

I built about a 6'x3.5' closet with a bathroom fan at the top, a diverted flex tube for air conditioning to keep things cool, with an added fan.
4-48" fluro tubes and I used a 400w MH.
Just used some Schultz growing medium with some Miracle Grow bloom booster.
Pretty simple and straight forward for a beginner but I will learn as I go.

This was a very easy plant to grow. I germed 5 seeds; 2 survived, 1 shorter male was removed and disposed of (I regret this now!).
The female was much more vigorous; growth in veg was phenomenal, it literally grew before my eyes...
Flowered 4 weeks after germination as I was eager to see the potential in this strain for crossing in the future.
It stretched like crazy once I flipped the switch from 24/0 to 12/12.
I gave it the chop at 60 days, and am very pleased with the results...
Trichome production is very heavy and buds are very dense— even when cured buds are extremely sticky.
2 thumbs fresh, this will be staying in my garden for the forseeable future...
Taste is a very strong citrus tang on the palate—great in joints but I find it a bit much in a bong.
Knocks you straight on your ass minutes after toking.
Overall: easy to grow, an absolute pleasure to smoke

These plants where grown using only organics. They were vegged until they reached 18" tall, then I switched to 12/12. Both of the plants stayed under 3 feet tall. I recieved two different phenos. in this pack of seeds. One which finished in 57 days and had a really great fruity smell to it. Another finished in 60 days, it also had a good smell just not as good as the first. The first to finish also had a much better taste. The best tasting weed I have ever smoked.

Veg: Well this plant was a big fuzz with a lot of problems. Under the veg. period there were a lot of problems with MG, N etc. deficiency. While vegging this plant I discovered that the pH should be low (for organic soil) by low I mean 5.5 to 6 (more like hydro) - when this pH was hit, the plant grew well and after 35 day it was ready to set to flower.
Flower: Here we have something explosive! After 3 days of 12/12 (YES it's true!) the first sign of resin showed on my plant and I started counting days of flower. The flowering period did go well, and there was no special 'blooming-booms' as the flowers developed nice all the way. After 7.25 week (not 8 as Nirvana recommend) the plant is ripe and ready to harvest, this was done without any trimming - as I believe the best drying results is with a full leaf matter.
Taste, smell and potential, effect: The taste is nothing to write about (the plant it not cured yet!!); there was only a slight taste of something sweet, I think it is good, not bad. For smell, this plant is pretty low odor - sometimes there was a small whiff of plum. When it comes to potential and effect - the plant took me by surprise as I have figured that with no taste and 'thought hurt' the plant must have been weak (I did see all the trichomes, but...) - the surprise was that after 5 minutes I could notice a small visual disorder and a feeling of hot water running trough my body, 5 minutes after that my mind started to shine like a summers day – stress from work left me, and my mouth got active. Overall effect – this plant is a true worry-remover; Or as my wife said “This strain brings out the subconscious hippie…”
Final rating: This plants carries some trouble, but if u have the time, it's worth it

Stealth cabin 160 Cm tall and a footprint that is 56X56 with 400 Watt Son-T GrowLux for light, due to bad ventilation (One pulling top mounted) the temperature rises to 35C, anyway I grow some good smoke there. I have gone from Chemical fertilizing to pure ecology organic systems (Only using the HPS is non-eco), actually I can see, and taste, it on the plants as they look and smell more healthy. For earth I use a 50/50 mix of worm castings lighten up with Leca (Made about 5 kilometers from where I live)The mix is enriched with a mix of chicken and sea-bird manure (Animix) and blended ascophyllum nodosum seaweed (Kelp) harvested from the local beach. As an addendum I use tea from the same seaweed every 3 day when plants are young, ecology fertilizer (Consist of micro-organisms to break down enrichment and humus to make soil more light) every week. When it’s time to flower, I brew tea from bone-powder (Phosphor enrichment) make from ecology cattle. Besides my cabin I’m growing outside as well (In the summer)

Ferts + Supplies: I used bog's method of growing, 2 weeks seedling stage + 3 weeks veg stage + harvest at around 74 days flower.
Papaya can mature either very fast, or in the case with this plant, very slow. One of my male papaya plants busted a pollen sack at only 4 weeks veg. Be very careful with this plant, and from week 4 on, you absolutely MUST check for male sacks on an every other day basis.
Veg stage: Veg state was uneventful, the plant grew hard and strong. I gave quite a bit of nutes, and this plant took it like quite a champ. This pheno was somewhat tall and lanky, and required quite a decent amount of training. I had to tie, and re-tie many times due to the fact that this plant was such a strong grower. The leaves were a slightly lighter green than normal. They were wide, but were not completely indica wide. The leaves were a perfect balance between indica and sativa, which meant that the leaves didn't completely block light to the lower sections of the plant. The plant itself was somewhat lanky, but not too lanky. I would have to say that this plant was about 60/40 or maybe even 70/30 sativa, which i really liked.
Flower: This plant appreciated a 6.0 ph. This plant also seemed to respond oddly to nutes.. whereas most plants would burn the tips when given too much nutes, this plant would just retard its growth. Interesting for sure, and makes for a very difficult diagnosis of possible problems. The plant seems completely fine, but just doesn't grow. It was only when i dropped the nutrients to normal strength that the plant took off once again (i had, at the time, been giving 1.5 strength)
The main cola was not only the most beautiful part of the plant, but also the best producer (in terms of weight), and packed the most resin. Which brings us to another point, the trichomes. The trichomes on this plant were of the bulbous variety. From a distance it seemed as if there were almost no trichomes on this plant; This statement however, could not be further from the truth. Upon inspection with a radio shack microscope, you could see that there were a TON of trichomes, the only reason for lock of a pretty picture? The fact that they were bulbous.
Once dried, the trichomes stand out quite a bit more. However do not use trichomes as an indicator of potency.
Late flower was also uneventful. This plant loves the dark periods. If you are ONLY growing this one plant by itself, I implore you to lengthen the dark period to 14 hours. This plant responds amazingly to a longer dark period. In fact, for reasons that were outside my control, i had to put the plant into darkeness for almost a full 24 hours towards the end of the growth. When I did this, I realized how the plant reacted to the dark cycle. It matured incredibly over a short period of time. However I do not recommend this practice, it is a sure indicator of the plants love for dark. Especially since I cut back on the light, and saw the most rapid maturation.
This plant really does smell of mango, which is where i believe its heritage lies. I had a few plants also growing in the chamber, and from quite a distance this plant could be smelt. I believe my friend said "man this place stinks like a mango skunk." So you can be sure that it wasn't just me :)
Smoke Report: The smoke from this plant is absolutely beautiful. What is so beautiful about it, is in its smoothness of smoke, and mild yet powerful stone. I have had more powerful stones, but they usually left me paranoid. This stone left me quite happy, and I was very impressed with its effects. I have also never smoked a bud as smooth as papaya. I mean, it was almost as if i was smoking flavored air, and not smoke at all. This is definitely a plant for those that don't have iron lungs. I really can't stress how smooth and light the smoke was for my lungs.
The taste is also one of the positive attributes of papaya. Like I stated earlier, there is a mango smell to the plant, what i did not mention was that this smell was carried on as flavor during the smoke. Everyone commented on the plant's fruity taste. This plant also improves from a long cure. I would recommend a very minimum of a month, in order to enjoy the plants fruity flavor.
As great as papaya is, it isn't without its achilles heel. The only downside to papaya is that the wonderful stone, is very short lived. The stone rarely lasts longer than one and a half hours. The stone gives a nice up, clear, very heady type of stone. This is most certainly not a body stone, and would not be a great pain reliever. This is also not a night cap stone, like many of the predominantly indica type stones. If I ever have a day where I have nothing to do, I smoke this stuff first thing in the morning. It is the only pot I've had that has a great come down, and keeps me energized enough to do mundane homely tasks.
Pot Cocktails: There is a remedy I discovered in order to counter the short lived stone, and that is to mix this fine herb with another more powerful herb. My mix of choice is jock horror from nirvana. The mix will really depend on what I want, but if its a night cap, I will do a 60/40 split in favor of jock horror. A nice after dinner smoke will be a 60/40 split in favor of Papaya. The 60/40 split gives just enough oomph to give the papaya a sleepy come down some 3 hours later (if you remember, the stone usually lasts for 1.5 hours, but the jack lengthens the time by double!). The 60/40 split also leaves the papaya taste (whereas the 40/60 isn't as strong). Also on days when i really want some fruitiness, I will mix the papaya with blueberry. You should really try this some time, as it is probably the most tasty (fruity) combo i've ever had.
I definitely give papaya a thumbs up! It is a MUST sample for every grower out there.. whether it has a permanent home in your garden, is up to your needs and wants. Personally for me, I wish I had kept a clone as I'm growing to appreciate this plant more and more every day. I will miss its wonderful fruity taste that felt almost as if it was my dessert after a good meal.

Nirvana Papaya (Mango) is a good strain...
It's too easy for a new grower like me ...
But I think that it's also appreciated by the "old school" peoples.
She made big, dense buds. Typicial indica growth pattern.
Good for topping on the 4th internode.
Effects are quietly good.... A nice balanced head stone with a relaxing indica taste. Smell is good like any fruity indica strain.
Bud are too big.....
Only three weeks of growing on 24/25, three 90 watt fluos, and when she goes away from there she goes in a closet, a small closet. 250w HPS for 12 hour/day, with a small add of DM Super Bud.
They are too thick when they are ready for harvest.
From three bushy plants (like 1 ft and half tall) I?ve harvested a total of 107 g.

2 plants grown outdoors in a greenhouse with scrog tech. These plants were alot of fun to grow. Not a whole lot of trouble at all.
They loved the organic ferts especially the taller lankier one of the two. The taller one of the 2 finished about 2 weeks after the shorter one. I am assuming it was more of a sativa pheno, lanky with only 2 large main colas with lots of smaller buds.
The shorter one had lots of short like chubby buds and a little bit different smell in flowering. The more sativa of the two smelled alot sweeter and put on quite a bit of weight the last 2-3 weeks of flowering. Finished both plants with about 30% amber trichomes.
The smoke is quite rushy at times, a great smoke for the outdoors. Brings nature out alot. I am deffinetly going to be keepin this one in my seed regime. A fun smoke and grow indeed.

The existing shelves work GREAT for scrog. Supersoil from homedepot. For lighting I used the big halide in the sky. Watered about once a week in veg and by the end of flowering I was watering every other day.
Alternated feeding with Age old Grow durring veg (12-6-6), Age old bloom (5-10-5) every other watering with just plain fresh water. Transplanted twice ending in 3 (for the shorter more indica) and 5 (for the lankier more sativa) gallon pots.

Easy strain to grow,dont smell too much when flowering.
Seeds did come from seedsdirect on sep 2003.
Cured pot smell very sweet and fruity realy nice aroma. Cured in glass jars for 2 months and the taste was really fruity and smooth.
High is couchlock and realy good for relaxing your muscles.
Only bad thing to say about this strain is that it makes peoples eyes really red and the munchies.. one of the worst, ever.
Good and powerful plant. Would do very good in Scrog.
Nice yielder i did get 80g with 110w hps light.

5/5 seeds germinated.
3 females, 2 males. 2 different phenos.
Indica dominant flowered 50-55 days and more sativa type 60-65 days.
I did put the indica pheno on small cabinet 40x60x100cm(15x24x39inch) and used 110w hps light,2x15l bubblers and chickennet for scrog(40x60cm)
Vegged 30days and using GH Flora series nutrients (grow,micro,bloom) flowered with same 110w hps light 54day.
Nutrients was same except i gave 'em Ripen.
Day 40 i did give Ripen and day 50 started flushin with 5.5 pH water.
Day 54 i cut the plants down. 80% of trichs was milky and 10% of amber. I just used recipe what is on those fert bottles and it works nice. Total yeild of dryed and cured buds was 80grams.

Good things about Nirvana Papaya
---------------------------------
-Good Germination Rates, 100%, Easy germination, fast to show tap roots.
-Good success with M/F ratio. From the 7 seeds I germinated and the 2 weak ones I culled, and using Metal Halide to initiate the bloom cycle, keeping temps low and using a feeding schedule with high nitrogen profile I had 4/5 females.
-Odor was easily managed, 4 plants in SCROG and with a timed aerosol air freshner smell was not a problem.
- Likes medium to light feeding, growth tends to really take off prior to nutrient changes. Watch carefully for burnt tips to signal overfeeding.
- No problems with Hermaphodites. Even with a green safelight.
- Responds well to my Organic/Chemical feeding in DWC. High PK ferts with organic bloom enhancers recommended.
- Great bag appeal, LOTS of nice crystals and a good harvest potential. Even with my runaway unattended scrog .8 Grams per watt. Trimming wasnt too bad good calyx to leaf ratio.
- Very sturdy, had to snap a few stems because some blooms were touching the light and they grew back as strong as ever.
Not so good things about Nirvana Papaya

- One of my plants had a chimera mutation. See picture for more info. Thread info is on the picture.
- Had a hard time getting them out of vegatative phase with MH on 11/13 For a variety of reasons and an inspection I had to force them into 48 hours of darkness, and flip them to HPS 12/12 to bloom. But that did the trick.
- 60 to 75 day maturation time, not really a bad thing tho'.
- Watch your nutrients, I wouldnt call them picky but dont let your TDS get outta control. They will either slow down growing or you get burnt tips. That goes for your PH too.
- A bit more sensitive to light burn than some other phenotypes I've worked with.
-Stretched more than I expected.. But I should have anticipated this, it is a Indica/Sativa strain.
High and taste
--------------
Expansive smoke, green flavors with bizzare tropical type flavor. creeper type high but very relaxing, left me dazed and smiling, stuck in my chair stairing at the TV, feeling the body high, craving junk food. Not bad for 14 day air dried buds.
I have some curing right now and I'll submit a flavor report in a few weeks when some real flavors and potency develops.

400W HPS EN with GH Nutes "Chem-Ganic" approach. Flora Nova + Flora, and various adjunts. GH Floralicious, GH Diamond Nectar
Bi-Weekly nutrient changes with flush.
All done without the aid of music playing to enhance growth.
