Vintage:

Germinated 5 seeds in Jiffy peat pellets, had sprouts in 3 days, 100 % germination. If I remember right, 1 sprouted a day later. Repotted into 16 oz drink cups with plain jungle growth potting soil till about 6" in height. Repotted into 1 gallon pots in a soil mix of jungle growth potting soil, blood and bone meal, black kow composted cow manure, and perlite. Fertilized once with Pure Blend veg 1.0-.5-1.0 at around the 6th week in veg, Maxi-Crop .1-1.0-1.0 seaweed stuff about every third watering. Vegged for approximately 8 weeks, 14-16 inches, 4 females, 1 male, however only one or two showed sex before going into 12/12. Phenotype in veg was very similar, a couple a little taller than the others. Nice wide leaves, dark green in color. I thought the internode spacing might be a bit elongated, but I sure saw I was wrong in flower they filled out nicely. I topped 3 and left the shorter one to do what it desired.

Flowering got into full swing maybe 7-10 days after going 12/12. I fertilized religiously once a week with Pure Blend bloom .5-.5-1.0 and the aforementioned Maxi-Crop. The one untopped plant grew into a nice christmas tree shape with a nice fat main cola, wish I had better light for the lower branches. The topped ones were somewhat different in that one had 4 huge main branches that put out some impressive colas, the other 2 ended up being similar but somewhat scrawnier. I was going for 10 weeks on all of them, but wanted to try the recommended final 2 weeks in the dark so I used the 2 smaller ones for that little experiment. Unfortunately I only got thru about a week of that and chopped those 2 at around 9 weeks. From what I saw, I see no benefit to 1 week darkness, don't see 2 making any difference either. The larger ones went a full ten weeks and finished out quite nicely. I didn't keep individual plant yields, but got about 10 z's off the 4 total.

The smoke was pleasing, nice sweet taste with an earthy body, somewhat like playdoh. Not sickeningly sweet and with a hint of spice. The high is quite up and heady, with maybe a little drooping of the eyelids after a couple hours, but another bowl remedies that. The bud cured with a nice "crust" of trichomes that was quite pleasing. I rated White Widow a 7 overall due to the 10 week finishing time and erratic growth pheno's

Garden in veg consisted of 130w Lights of Amerika flourex and two 20w Warm White floro's in a small closet with a fan blowing for air movement and door open for ventilation. After 8 weeks repotted into 3 gallon pots, same deal on the soil only less blood meal, more bone meal and even less manure. 400w HPS and 400w MH combined, large walkin closet, with two open doors for ventilation and two large fans for air movement and heat disbursal.
