Skunk 1 is used as a base for many of the new world strains many of which are found here in our broad selection. Skunk 1 has a heritage of Afghani, Mexican gold and Colombian gold. This plant has a great consistency of generating a good strong punch with a great skunky sweet taste. Skunk 1 is definitely for the skunk lover in you. SK1 will take a lot of abuse and performs well both indoor and outdoor.

Very easy to grow. Very hardy plant. It had every leaf picked off by a deer and somehow regrew and yielded 4+oz. Decent smoke. Could have been better but most of the problems were due to grower error. These come as freebies from Gypsy, and a pretty easy grow... except they took a bit longer to mature than I would like in a typical strain.

I love this plant. Overall I would have to say it is one of the best strains I have ever grown. She is stable and able to withstand massive amounts of abuse. She grows fat thick buds with great cal/leaf ratio. I have intentionally tried to cut clones in the most screwed up bound to fail manner and they still root. My seed germination was 80% with 4 out of 8 plants being female. I highly suggest this strain to a new grower. If you can't grow this strain than give up on growing altogether.

Mine were grown in an organic soil mix and matured starting at day 53. Trichs were fully clouded by day 56. I had to tie down the top colas on several plants before they snapped off. The best thing is... I got the seeds for free...

I've got one Skunk #1 female in my mum area, a clone of the first plant I ever grew. However, she's a beauty! Very vigorous and rapid growth in vegging, good trichome production in flowering, and pretty good smoke overall.

Sativa-dominant in appearance, and duration of flowering, but definitely not in yeild. This girl just keeps on flowering... at 60 days, the one I've got still spits out fresh calyxes, stacking on budmass anywhere it can. High is mainly heady, fairly energetic, but in my opinion, somewhat lacking in character. It's excellent smoke, don't get me wrong... but there's nothing about it that just... jumps out at me. Yet, it is fairly potent, and the yield and appearance are most excellent. I'm certainly glad to have it in my collection.

Despite its name, my Skunk #1 wasn't very skunky at all! It was fairly low odor, but definitely had a noticable pine and Skunk mixed in there.

From four Skunk #1 seeds I ended up with one female plant.
I vegged the remaining female for 110 days and flowered her for 60.

This plant had some pH imbalance late in vege and also during flowering but she pulled through and gave me around 1.5 ounces of hard nuggets. I would recommend this strain to beginners because it can take a beating.

This was my third grow and first very successful grow.

I put three seeds in papertowels and all three germinated within two/three days. All three ended up being female. They were a little sensitive to ferts in their early stages but adjusted very nicely. The only problem I had with these girls was that they stretched quite significantly for the first two weeks of flowering. After that they just started packing on buds.

I used a tea made of bat guano, peruvian seabird guano, epsom salt, and kelp at pretty much every watering once flowering started. The last two weeks I just watered them with 24-hr water.

I harvested at 55 days because my next strain was ready for flowering and the Skunks where done for the most part. 50% of the trichs were cloudy and 45% clear, maybe about 5% amber. That's where I like them.

I pulled 3 oz from two Skunk #1 seedsdirect freebies. I kept a clone for the future, since this is a nice strain to have around.

I only used a converted 150w HPS security light plus two compact flouros during flowering. With more light the buds may have been more compact and dense.

All my friends that got to smoke these buds were very impressed. The smoke is extremely smooth and tastes very nice. The high comes on immediately and is fairly energetic. Some people even said this is the nicest bud they've ever seen... and later sent me phone messages like: "Hoollly Shitt, I'm high".

I definitely recommend this strain and it's definitely worth every penny!

The Skunk #1 was an easy undemanding plant to grow, and would be great for a beginning grower. There was some odor, but not as bad as I had expected.
The Sk#1 was not picky about fertilizers or anything else.
There was moderate stretch in flowering, but not bad for a mostly Sativa strain.
Yield for one plant was 1.6 oz, above average in this particular crop.

The smoke is a head high, fun and active, but also a bit paranoia inducing. The high is disappointingly short lived. The buds are not the most potent —although better than commercial bud— but they give a nice racy high if that's what you're in the mood for. I prefer to mix these buds in a bowl with something more Indica, to take the edge off the stone as well as lengthen the duration.

I enjoyed the grow from start to finish. This plant took a lot of stress and was very giving. It clones very easily. The plant stays nice and healthy under all sorts of conditions. Didn't stretch much. The Sk#1 had medium size nuggets. This strain is a good beginner strain but really not much of a keeper. It took at least 60 days to fully mature and that is way to long for a skunk #1. Also the potency was very disappointing. I grew this strain in different situations and always ended up with a weak potency. Definitely the weakest potency I have every seen from what looked like great dank nuggets. The resin production was amazing, crystals everywhere, just falling from every part of the buds. The High was not very strong. At first the high was a mild head high but it was not accompanied by any couch lock so it leaves you feeling not high.

I germinated 10 seeds of the skunk #1s from Nirvana. All 10 sprouted and grew healthy. Out of the 10 I got 5 females but one looked weak so I killed it. The 4 skunk #1s were grown under 250 watts of flouros in the veg cycle until about a foot tall. I put 3 of the 4 under the 400 watt MH agrosun light with 118 watts of side lighting from flouros.

The other one I left with a clone from my last grow (Durban poison) under the flouros. They grew to about 2 and ½ ft. tall with nicely developed lower colas as well as a beefy main cola. I broke the main stem pretty badly of one of the skunk#1s. I duct taped it and supported it and it recovered but stayed shorter than the others. I planed on flushing them for 2 weeks before harvest but stopped feeding too early and flushed for about 4 weeks. I also stopped watering a few days before harvest as well. I harvested when most of the trichomes were cloudy, not many amber. The one skunk#1 I left under complete flouros got very purpley due to the low temps at night.

Big thanks to Gypsy and seeds direct, for 20$ I’d be happy with one good female getting at least an ounce or two. That 20 bucks I spent ended me up with over 6 ounces. The smoke is smooth and very relaxing while still social. I can't get enough with my aromazap vaporizer I just keep packing more and more bowls.

My grow space is a closet with mylar for reflection. My lighting is a 400 watt MH agrosun bulb and additional flouros for side lighting (118 watts) The bulb I use is a special MH that has more red spectrum than most so it is good for veg and budding. They were watered every other day or so and fertilized twice a week. I use organic nutrients to feed them. Including earth juice, guano, worm castings, bone meal, blood meal, and seaweed. Fan for ventilation and regular opening of the space.

I harvested this plant at day 62 of flower. The buds were slow cured for 2 months. It has a very strong skunk smell. The buds are sticky and resonous, with golden/red hairs, a classic skunk look. The buzz is strong and nicely balanced. The plant was grown under 168w CFL and 70w HPS in a cabinet, using a 5gal DWC bubble bucket. I used BC nutes. I started with 2 plants, vegged them for 5 weeks and determined that 1 was a male. The female vegged for a total of 6 weeks. She flowered under a 360w HPS and became very bushy. I had to tie it down 2 times in order to keep it under the light. It prduced 5 1/2oz of bud.

I started this grow with (2) Skunk #1 seeds from Nirvana, one turned out to be male, a standard 50/50 mix. The price for the seeds was very reasonable and delivery was prompt. The plant was grown in a 5Gal DWC hydro system with BC nutrients, in a stealth grow cabinet. I had to tie the plant back and down several times to keep it from getting to close to the 360HPS light during flower. Temps in the cab were 68 degrees F at the resevoir and 78 degrees F at the canopy under the light. When I harvested this plant at 50/50 amber trics, the smell was overwhelming, very strong skunk odor through the whole house and outside as well. I ended up with 5 1/2 oz. of premium bud, as well as 2 oz. of very sticky shake, which made excellent hash. 2 hits of the scissor hash almost knocked me over. The buds were slow cured in glass jars. The buds are sticky and have a strong skunk odor, the smoke tastes strongly of hash. The high is strong, a good blend of an 'up' head high with a pleasing body stone. 4 or 5 hits are plenty even after smoking these buds for a month.
