Heres some news on the danish cannabisfront.

On a public meeting 02. 12 and 19.01 03 we decided that we want to form
"Cannabisrådet" (The board of cannabis) in Copenhagen. Its a group of political partys, organisations and persons who are fed up with the cannabis prohibition. The best way to get influence is by forming a board/counsil. They will represent more than 200.000 cannabis users and growers. There will be doctors, psychologs and others experts and famours people who got a positive attitude to cannabis and cannabis culture. The meetings was arranged by Enhedslisten and Hampepartiet.

Enhedslisten is a political party, who are in to free cannabis, decided to profile on this subject. Line Barfod is a member of the danish parlament from Enhedslisten, and she told that she will bring up the question on free cannabis in the parlament.

There is other political partys who said they want to join, forinstance the young liberals and the young radicals and the radicals anual meeting.
Of organisations there was Dansk Cannabis Forening(dcf) and Christianias Kulturforening. The counsil should also contain farmer people and medical people.

Others will join up on this project. Its necessary, because the danish goverment are very non clever. Soon they will make harder rules on cannabis possesion, "the non tolerance policy" and they will shoot down Pusher Street in Christiania, so the cannabis in the future will be sold where there is harder drugs, witch means more criminals and junkies. A big ekonomik burdon on the danish taxx payers.

Sounds great. Unfortunately I doubt it will be quite as easy in Finland. Well, actually I doubt it was easy in Denmark. Must have taken a lot of hard work and time. Kudos for that and good luck!

Hopefully you'll be able to change opinions, and maybe even law, in Denmark. And if we Finns are really lucky it might even affect public opinion in our backwards little country. However Finnish politicians are cowardly little weasels who don't have the guts to open a serious discussion on this subject. There are exceptions, but the vast majority won't move a finger before the other nordic countries have shown the way. Which of course is exactly what you're doing! How thinks goes nowadays in Denmark? In Finland, we get small fees like 100-1500 euros, if get caught growing cannabis, no more than 12 plants, but I think that its likely hold on where live in here, so somewhere can 8 plants be too much. Also get police record and when ever they might go and check afterwards your apartment. No so good in here.

And here police make home search if they think that you grow cannabis, funny and sad same time, because its only wasting tax payers money. Pot dont harm anyone, I think. Rather, it makes hard drugs little harder to sell, because grower no need to hassle with drug dealers. Heh, and I heard rumors that also chili growers has got some home search?! I dont know if they look power consuption or what. Waste of money, waste of money. Its so easy bust some growers (especially in here, Finland) than get in real work with hard drugs I think, which is 80-90%(?) handled by east mob (russians, Estonians)

I hope that Denmark didnt went to harder line on matter of cannabis, because its very insane think. The only thing what happens is that drugs goes more undeground and then users must make business with dealers.

Also here is now convicted the Finnish seedshop, which spread and sold 10000 seeds in Finland. They got 40.000 euros fees to Goverment, illegal trading of illegal material (or something)

seeds are not illigal in denmark, but evil forces is trying to get them illigal..

OMG Denmark goes Finland... That's a shame... What good has zero tolerance ever made? And a 500kr fine, that's ridiculous... gotta check that one out... yea seems like 500 danish crowns equals just a little over 67 euros... That would stop my outdoor smoking more than efficiently. How about getting caught of growing? At least here we get only small fees, like I say'd, but it also makes impossible (?) to start growin' again, because of the police harassment, but thinking, that not so wild those penalties, if you dont sell it to others! If so, then one might be really bad trouble.

Heh, we had here member of parliament, who committed on news paper, that he smoked once or twice cannabis. The police reacted immediately and asked her to come police station to interrogation. He denied or didn't commit anything and now afterwards he was not convicted in court. This is the mentalite in Finland, yeah! Really silly way to blowing tax payers money and also wasting police resources. And the prosecutor wants to appeal on court of appeal... costs: +10.000 euros(?) fees maybe 50-300 euros, if ever convicted.

grower here is illigal, but the police is busy with the pushers from christiania and rockers and terror so not many get caught... bills are not big for small grows...

Oh yea? just like that? And no fuzz, no media-hype, nothing? Shiiiiiit... In finland we have this girlie called Roosa Meriläinen, She said something like "I once tried cannabis when i was in a party" And omg that did it! Yea she instantly became like... well totally ripped off by the media to say the least... Not to mention the public opinion "Yeah isn't it obvious why things are the way they are here, when we have drug addicts running the nation" and all that shit... oh and on top of that, she is a member of "The green party, vihreät" Well they aren't too green no more i can tellYa... In the late eighties and the early nineties the green party was more or less pro-ganja, Not like herb has ever been on top of their political agenda but hey anyways... Seems like the attitude towards cannabis is gettin' more and more negative here, so the Green party leader Soininvaara strictly announced something like "We wont tolerate stoners in our party"... Well maybe not exactly like that but nevertheless... It ain't easy being a pothead here in Finland i can tell you... We have such a long history with alcohol, we wouldn't want that to end... With the tax revenues and all that short-sighted shit... But hey man, wouldn't have it any other way... I'm not the one responsible for the current laws, and for those who are, fuck 'em, gotta light?
